Best DM wad of 2005

  Kristus Date : December 9th - 2006 : Happy first anniversary.

Well, then it was one year since Ni'mrod: Project Doom first got released to the public and personally it's been a year of many fun games in the deteriorated bases of the Ni'mrod universe. Thanks to all the people who've been playing and in particular my friends who keep coming over for LANs in Ni'mrod and also to Homer and [RB]Cacodemon, who have found it in their intrest to make add-on maps for the wad.

In relation to that I added a "files" section to the site so people more easily can get the files that relate to Ni'mrod. Other than the Ni'mrod: PD files, this page also includes the original Ni'mrod files for Doom Legacy aswell as any add-on wads that is made by the community.

The add-ons in question are the single player map "Hell on Exdeus" by Homer, and the DM map "Exdeus: Toxic Storage Plant" by [RB]Cacodemon.

  Kristus Date : November 3rd - 2006 : One year.

I figured it was about time I updated this place. There's been a few things that should have been addressed during this year.

First things first though.
About two weeks ago Homer released a map for Ni'mrod, called Ni'mrod: Hell on Exdeus.
This is the first SP map made for Ni'mrod: PD and hopefully there'll be more to follow. :)
You can download it here: Ni'mrod: Hell on Exdeus

Other than that I plan to make a few updates around the page, like add a files section finish the story and things like that.

  Kristus Date : December 5th - 2005 : Release date set.

After several weeks (months actually) of testing and trying we've decided that we are ready to release Nimrod - Project Doom.

The date is set for Friday December 9th and we will be hanging in #skulltag, ready to take on any challenges that is given to us. Aka, whenever someone is ready to play, We are going to be aswell. We'll see how the evening turns out, but I hope that we will see some awesome deathmatching up until this week's FNF takes over (and possibly during if people are willing).

At the present time, you can expect the servers to come up at 18:00 GMT which is 7 and a half hour before FNF starts.

Hope to meet you there.

Best regards,

  Kristus Date : November 13th - 2005 : Beta testing time.

Well, it appears we are ready to beta test this thing.

I've spoken to Carnevil and he agreed to host it with one of his servers (Thanks a lot Carney. :) and I'm now looking for a gang of 5-10 people who would like to battle it out in the 14 levels we got prepared and later comment thoroughly on the maps, and item placements. Etc

You can contact me on the Skulltag forums, Doomworld or on the TF forums here. You can also reach me by e-mail at: kristus_at_darch-angel.com (replace _at_ with an @).
Anyway, I'm looking forward to your applications.

  Kristus Date : September 10th - 2005 : Almost there.

Well, there's been a spurt of activity done on the project this weekend and there's very little left to do before the project is done now. Submerge suggested I got someone else to make the map he had signed up for. So I asked Agent Spork and he happily agreed after a bit of consideration. He already shown me some very promising screens of the map he's making and it shouldn't take long for him to finish it. Gemini have worked hard on his map wich became quite big, and yet runs pretty damn well with only two players. O_o Anyway, he'll be done soon aswell and other than a new sound for the Minigun, aswell as some touches and testing on the maps. We're about finished.

"Nimrod Battlefield" (CTF) has been cancelled due to lack of shown intrest.

Kristus Date : August 15th - 2005 : Back from internet oblivion aka downtime.

Well, I figured it was a good time to update now as the site is once again available to you all since Manc got back from his vacation. Work is still in progress on the last two maps for the episode. This is not what is really of intrest though. I have an idea for a more specialized set of maps for Skulltag and was hoping to see some people volunteering to make an episode of 5 maps (possibly more if I get lots of intrest) I don't want to go into detail about what it is I've got planned. But it's an attempt to make CTF (one flag and 2 flag) more team and strategy oriented. The maps would also feature Domination style aswell as they would work in LMS and Terminator, but the main objective is CTF.

If you think you would be intrested in something like this. contact me on DW/Skulltag/Team Future forums or by mail. (kristus at darch-angel dot com)

  Kristus Date : July 19th - 2005 : Launching the page.

Welcome to the newly designed homepage for the latest project in the "Ni'mrod universe". I hope you will enjoy it seeing as I worked about a day on this, and for the first time it's a design that is somewhat dynamic. Which is something of a first for me. ;)

Ni'mrod - project doom is a Skulltag add-on that is focused on creating some of the most action packed deathmatch/LMS/Terminator/ETC game play ever seen in Doom. You'll be the judge, once it's released.

Until then, feel free to browse this page and take part of some of the things that will be featured in Ni'mrod. Also, if you don't mind using Doom Legacy, do take a look at Ni'mrod - Ixnay on the Hombre.
